Warm winter vs. cold winter, which one do you prefer?

Winter seems warmer and warmer year by year. As a person born and grew up mainly in south of china, a place hardly have snow in winter, I like warm winter. Also if winter is not so cold, we can save a lot of cost on heater or AC. But the scientists say warm winter is not good, ice on mountain decreases, and sea level rises... So what do you prefer, warm winter or cold?
