I had a distance relationship...it was one out of my two love affairs...my partner lived in Sardegna, that is an Italian island, and I lived in Rome...therefore we were far but not so much that it was impossible to meet...we could not meet as much as we would because of our work and of course because of money!!! this story is over now...it was an emotional disaster for me and I am trying to forget it..but surely it was not because of the distance...I think that distance may be a problem if your relationship is very young...in this case it is not good being distant because you cannot know each other very well..you have to prove your love in the common routine...but you know each others well and your love is strong and long lasting...distance makes things heavier but it not an unbearable obstacle!

Yes, the distance can be a big problem. I know it well. I have had 2 important relationships, one is ended because I was too much young, the other one is continuing now also. We have been 7 distant months, we met in the weekend. I lived in Trieste and he lived in Bologna. 3 hours of train. Few in comparison to my preceding relationship. He lived in Milan... 5 hours of train! We have been living together for 2 years. If we didn't go to live together, our history would never have lasted.

My partner was here with me in india but for his work he had to go to malaysia. I cant forget the moment we were in airpor to send him. The pain i had to hide inside to avoid hurting him. We were just hugging each other finding no words to say. Ha now he is here with me (infact he came running for me). Now he is in another state but we meet once a month and soon we are going to be together forever.

When my partner and I first started chatting on line we were 160 miles apart. We chatted for ages before we met, and although the distance was a problem, we managed to meet up every couple of weeks or so. We continued to have a long distance relationship for 18 months before we finally decided to live together and he moved in with me

Yes, my husband and I had a long distance relationship. I lived and worked in one country, he lived and worked in another, we met on holiday in a third. We went back to our respective jobs, and spent our holidays together, nearly a year after we met, we got married, and after our holiday went back to our respective countries, we spent holidays and weekends together, and when I was expecting my daughter, I gave up my job and moved to live with my husband, we now live together with our daughter. This of course is the condensed version. The longer one is very colorful but would take pages!
