Pollutants that can turn a macho man into gay

I have read an article concerning estrogen pollutants, experiments proved that a male frog became a female frog because of these pollutants. It made me think, does this pollutants can also affect our male species? Come to think of it, the number of gay people are really increasing. Can we attribute this to the change of behaviour of most men (metro guys)? What do you think?
