I homeschool my three children. Ages 12, 10 and 4.5. Its a blast. I have been homeschooling since my oldest was in the 4th grade...so we are in our 4th year. :)

I also have a 10 year old. What curriculum do you use or do you do your own? I have some that I have bought, some that I have been given, but we tend to do a lot of stuff on our own. I enjoy it greatly! I was nervous at first , but I think it is one of the best things that I have ever decided to do.

I usually get all of our stuff from eBay or the "freebie" piles at our co-op.
We participate in a once a week co-op for Phys Ed, Music and Art. The co-op has over 100 kids and it is a great time.
My oldest is using mostly Abeka this year. My middle child (10) is using SOS that a friend gave us. My youngest is things that I have put together. She is 1/2 way through kindergarten.
My youngest also attends a public pre-k program in the afternoons. This gives me a break, and that is when my older two do their harder work.

I have not homeschooled, but I had a friend who went to our church, and has moved out of the district. They did not make enough money for the school tuition (it is a Christian school) and was rather wary that the kids might be influenced for bad even though the children attending that school were Christians, so she taught them at home. She is probably still doing it since they now live on a farm. I felt it strange, because I would have expected it if there was not a Christian school in the area.
With public schools, you cannot trust what they teach you.
