Money and Family

I always find it hard to lend or borrow money from family. My mum always borrowed money from my brother, my sister or myself, and we always gave her knowing it will never come back. So I am not so fond about lending money to my family, although my brother lend me also some money a couple of years ago so I guess if he would ask me I would also give him some when he would need it. Am I the only one who thinks lending money to parents is not a GOOD thing?

If a friend or family member asks us for money we first evaluate if we can pay our bills and things before we agree. We know that when you loan family money you are really giving it to them, at least in our case no one has ever paid us back.

I think lending money to friend s can be a good thing. I lend money to my siste rall the time. But she pays me back. When it come to family, when they borrow money. I have it in my mind that I give it to them as a gift. So if I don't getpaid back. I don't worry about it. I know I would not lend money out that I could not afford to give away.

In my view I think money and family are not comparable.Money is something that even if it is gone we can regain but if family relationship is disturbed it cant be regain as like in the case of money.. Ever compare family with money..
