I am very excited for the upcoming elections, especially since it will be my first year to vote. i have begun researching all the candidates (on both sides, even if i dont support them, knowledge is power!) and I would like to see Rudy Guliani as the next president. i like him best from the Republican party candidates. I like his views on the current issues, and think he would be a good replacement.
who are you voting for?

Normally, I vote Republican..but at the moment I am really liking Barack Obama. I like how he stands up for what he believes even if it isn't the most popular opinion at the time. I would never vote for Hillary.. that woman flip-flops her opinion on issues depending on the day.
I like Rudy Guiliani too.. I also wouldn't mind seeing him win. I think the fact that he is a liberal Republican may hurt his chances though... I don't know if the support is there for him from other Republicans.

I forgot to add..
I am glad to see a young person excited about the election and taking the time to research the candidates. When I turned 18, I looked forward to voting in my first election too. I remember trying to get my friends at the time to register to vote. Most of them didn't care about voting.

obama makes me uneasy, im not sure why, but he just does.
and i agree with the statement about hillary. we need someone who holds their beliefs tightly and doesnt let go. and i dont think we are ready for a woman president yet. at least not her.
normally i like the conservative republicans, but i like Rudy anyway. i think the issues that he would take a liberal stand on, arent even big issues right now. so i dont think it really would matter.

Yeah, I need to register. I forgot to vote in the last election...Oops. This time though, I care too much about mine and my wife's safety to let Hillary get within sight of the White House.

I'd take Guliani or Lieberman. He's been standing for his principals lately, much to the ire of his party. Lieberman said that if his party doesn't get a grip, he's switching allegiances. I respect a man who has strong beliefs. But, I'll probably vote for Guliani. I doubt Lieberman will run.

Forgot to add something:
I won't feel safe in my home without a Republican in office. Terrorists don't live in the idealized world of the Democrats.

Definitely Ron Paul. He knew and voted against the invasion of Iraq from the very begining even though most of the Democrats didn't even vote against it at that point in time. This is exactly what America needs. I have never been more excited about a potential candidate in all of history. Learn a little more about Ron Paul:
