Are south India temples better than north India temples

I visited both the south indian and north indian temples. In terms of carvings and th e architecture in the temples there is not much of a difference. Both are equally god. When it comes to puja and other activities conducted in the temple, there is no difference. But what i have observed was that the south indian temples are rennovated and therefore look better and good. But i dont prefer one over the other.

hi I dont know in which sense have you answer the questions But if it is considered with the beauty of the temple i would like to go to a south Indian temple since I likes the carvings abd the traditional pillars,wooden tops etc But I dont know any differances between north indian and south indian in terms of worship and glory.
