Well, I just finished up my MBA and would rather work for myself than someone else. I'm trying to come up with a business with low start-up costs and wanted to see if anyone out there could share any success stories? Did you start a business? What were your startup costs? How is it going?

hello, have u noticed very few ppl seem to be interested in business on this site, they all want to make money, but not too interested in doing any business,
anyways i would suggest brokering, find friends and relatives who are involved in business, some maybe importers, some ppl providing services, such as printing etc, or some maybe direct manufactureres, you find orders for them and you keep ur percentage and sell to them.

I know! I'm always looking for good ideas and ways to not have a "real job" working for someone else. :)

I have started a business retailing swords and related goods. Before that I had a business selling books which was a small time business however for an 18 year old highschool student it was quite profitable.

I started my own business, its going pretty great, it was a total of 400.00 but 40.00 a month not 400.00 up front, and then yearly fees of 30.00 after you pay that first.
