It is very important to have a look at the expiry date before purchasing any goods.

that is the first thing that I look at especiall perishable goods. There has been several occasions in the past where I have found well out of date items in a local shop and informed the management. In a superstore there are more frequent checks, plus the fact that there is a higher turnover of goods and the fact that the bar code system has more or less eliminated out of date products on the shelves.

Yes i always check.... for ur information pls see below article Have U ever heard about LPG gas cylinder's expire date. How to find LPG cylinder's expiry date ? Very important information. Most of us do not know this. I came to know today from the gas stockiest, because an accident occurred. Do you know that there is an expiry date (physical life) for LPG cylinders? Expired Cylinders are not safe for use and may cause accidents. In this regard please be cautious at the time of accepting any LPG cylinder from the Vendor. Here is how we can check the expiry of LPG cylinders: On one of three side stems of the cylinder, the expiry date is coded alpha numerically as follows A or B or C or D and some two digit number following This e.g. D06. The alphabets stand for quarters - A for March (First Qtr), B for June (Second Qtr), C for Sept (Third Qtr), & D for December (FourthQtr). The digits stand for the year till it is valid. Hence D06 would mean December qtr of 2006. Share this message with everyone you know, your kind cooperation will save the life of many people and create awareness Among the public.

I always try to look for the expiration date on the food that I buy. I want to make sure it is gonna last long enough for when I get ready to cook or eat it. I don't want nothing that is spoiled or has mold on it. I try to also stay away from dented cans. I won't buy boxes with food in it that are smashed either. I also check the food that I have stored in my cabinets for a short period of time to see if any of those expired while I had them in my posession also. I agree that it is very important not to buy or use outdated foods.

I always look at the exp. dates. If its something i know i wont use by that date i wont buy it. I was told by a person that you have about 5 days past the experation date thats its good for. I have found items that were past due date on the shelves at the store so i notified the manager...
