I just got internet yesterday and my husband spent the evening downloading music and stuff. He got a popup saying that spyware had been detected on our computer. Then our home page was switched to a site that sells anti-spyware software. This morning, I have spent the entire morning trying to get rid of this thing. My antivirus checker came up with a file infected with a virus called Bloodhound, but is unable to quarantine or delete it. Any ideas on how to resolve this problem? I have messages saying that I have a virus, various spyware applications and a Trojan. Could this all be true, and why isnĀ“t my Norton antivirus picking up the other problems?

Have you ever seen a message that says "spy cookie detected" or spy cookie found? Seems when you go online and look at various sites, spy cookies from various companies attach spy cookies to the sites. Once you view them the cookie is then transfered to your hard drive, it allows companies to monitor and keep track of your internet activity, which could prove deadly in the end, with obtaining your password or personal information. I recommend "Nortons" you can go and download it from the site. If you dont want to download it from the site, you can easily pick it up at a WalMart store. This program can protect your computer from all the various things out there that can cause harm. You can also restore your computer to an earlier time, you could even go back one day before your hubby downloaded anything, only thing is he will lose the the songs and music he spent time downloading. The restore option restores your system to a previous time. Then you can install a virus program and download them again. Hope the information was a help.

I definitely can say that your computer Internet explorer is corrupted .Otherwise no programme can directly open .The solution of this problem is with activevirusshield .Download this antivirus and install this .I find that this really works in the same problem in my PC .Thanks for taking Internet connection .Now we can be online .

I have Spybot on my computer and it works beautifully... Norton sucks. I forget how to download spybot onto the computer, but my brother is a computer systems troubleshooter so he can fix all sorts of problems and he recommended the free spyware I now have installed. If it's still a problem in a day or two, message me and I will give him a call and message you back with instructions. It's pretty easy to install, takes about 20 minutes tops and then you shouldn't have any more problems with pop-ups or viruses. Good luck and let me know if you need further help...
