Try to figure out how you can come up with both. I guess, electronics and information technology are relevant in a way. You see, both fields are beneficial and you use your better judgement on this. You've got to focus and try to have sufficient time to devote with whatever project you may come up with.
I am also in the field of engineering (Indsutrial and Management.
Goodluck!
Engineering rocks! :)

Hey thank for the advice
Your idea is good and we are trying to search a micro-controller project which involves both Hardware as well as software

I prefer you to go for electronic project. I dont think that the IT companies are going to take electrical students who do some IT project. They just look for the branch. So i dont think that you have to worry a lot for this. Just do the project on your core so that you will have two option to choose during the time of job :)

Sorry, you have to decide on which one you are more interested in, and like more. That is the one you should go for, as you will be doing it for a long time.

Since you are sure that your future job will be in Information Technology, you should probably go for the IT project, as it will benefit you more... but hey, whichever you decide to go for, I wish you best of luck.

go for an electronics project and look for an electronics job when you graduate.
