Many say it is Hollywood but here are the facts..
Hollywood generates about 15-20 movies per annum with great revenues and release them worldwide and get good profits as well. Create much hype at Oscars. Percentage of people viewing hollywood movies is more.
Coming to Bollywood, it generates about 450-500 movies per annum but at lesser revenues compared to hollywood. The combined revenues gross more than hollywood's. These bollywood's releases abroad and world over are generating revenues equal to hollywood's movies.
After getting to know about bollywood, what do you feel about hollywood frankly?

I think I would still never watch a Bollywood movie, even if it were free. Its a population thing. There are more people in India...
Hollywood makes far higher quality movies, and Hollywood movies have more appeal to the entire world (except India) than Bollywood's movies.

The Hollywood producers invest much more in their movies than the Bollywood ones. So naturally you get better technology at Hollywood than Bollywood. Bollywood generates lots of movies per year but most of them are crap. And the best movies in Bollywood almost always go unrewarded. And I contest the statement "bollywood's releases abroad and world over are generating revenues equal to hollywood's movies". I doubt if it is true
