Should the Theory of evolution be taught in schools?

i have a daughter in catholic school, mainly b/c the neighborhood schools are very bad. SHe is taught everyhthing pertaining to the catholic religion, and also given information about other religions. but they will not speak of evolution, Iwas taught evolution in public school. why isnt it taught everywhere?

I think all schools should teach both theories, after all a "theory" is something that can't be proven or disproven. Young people who base their beliefs on one teaching and haven't been given the chance to make up their own minds are not reaping the benefit of a quality education. Parents who oppose to having their children taught one or the other theory should realize that they also are the teachers of their children and should have more influence over them than what is taught in school.
