I'm pretty adventurous in trying new things so I've actually tried many things others would not. I've had chocolate covered ants, frog legs, turtle soup, dog (yes, when on business in Korea we were served dog and I DID try it although I didn't know at the time what it was... that's my technique for trying new things! LOL) and various ethnic styles of food from Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Italian, Greek, Japanese, Irish, Jewish and probably some others I'm forgetting. Just FYI, all the "weird" things listed above I can honestly say I didn't care too much for any of them! LOL

my dad'd officemates tricked me into eating dogmeat. i got more sad and disappointed at them than angry. i love dogs and i wouldnt want them to end up on my plate. for the disgusting part, one of my neighbors was preparing dogmeat and it stank to high heavens. yep, right from the gates of hell. i wouldnt want to eat anything that smelled that bad. i think thats a sure sign that dogs are not supposed to be eaten.

LOL.... the "Irish" part comes along the lines of "ethnic foods" not "weird". And I have to admit that I would NOT have eaten dog knowing that it was dog but in some ways I'm glad I got to try something that was truly considered "normal" for them. I guess if you truly think about it, it is no more disgusting to raise a dog for "meat" then it is a cow or pig, etc. I hate to think of any animal dying but I have to admit, I will eat beef and pork! LOL
