Labor and childbirth

I am about 8 months pregnant. I am really worried about going through Labor and Childbirth. I know it's going to hurt and I am planning on getting an Epidural. I am really scared about the pain and actually recognizing when I begin to go into labor. How do you know? What does it feel like? I guess I just need some reassurance that everything will be OK.

I am just curiouse how old are you? I am rasing my 15 yr old grandauther and she just had a baby the 20th of feb and she didnt even know she was pregant. Yes it can be painful and also a enjoyment when its over. When you start getting cramps real bad and it feels like you peed your pants you are going into labor. The only thing my grandaughter felt was that her stomach was upsent.Never felt the baby kick or move. In fact the day before she was playing dodge ball at school. So if you get cramps like every 10 min apart you are going into labor. Everthing wil be ok and my pryers are with you. My grandaughter had a healthy baby boy. So again my prayers are with you.

Thanks so much for your response. I find it amazing that your granddaughter did not know that she was pregnant. I am definitely not say that I don't believe it. I know for me that it is sometimes painfully obvious to me that I am pregnant haha. Thankyou for letting me know some of the signs of going into labor. I wish your granddaughter, you AND you Great-Grandson the best of luck.

i am sure you know when it starts! in the beginning it feels like cramps, that can take a while, some woman are strong and find this nothing(so did i) and after a while it is gonna hurt, but acceptable. i used the tensemachine for myself that helped me the first hours! the last hours the pain was too much and i just had to go through them.
as soon as you can push you are happy and tired. i didn't use any pain relieve at all two times! and beleive me you forget it as soon its out of your body!
