Getting addicted to online games,do we get any benefits from it?

I started playing online games a few years back.It started out from curiousity when several of my friends are addicticted to it.They encouraged me to try it.Well as you can see,I am one of them "Addicted to Online games" but what do we really benefit from it?In reality for me,we dont get any benefits from it or any advantages from the game but what's in Online games that make it addictive to people even at an older age and spend a lot of money for it? For me,its just purely personal satisfaction.

Its the thrill of winning at a game. I like playing cards and i play on poker stars..I have met a lot of nice people there. The addiction is trying to beat the game.....

Yeah, I think its the thought of winning something big or moreover you experienced winning and just liked the feeling and could'nt stop thinking about winning again
