How does My Lot work exactly?

I just joined My Lot and I'm really enjoying it so far - however I notice once I post to a discussion or create a discussion, it doesn't have a place to go back to the home page where it has a list of My discussions, recent discussions etc.
It would also be great to learn a little more about where people live, their likes, what they do etc.
And how does the My Buddies option work? Do you just put in the user name of the person and they get notified you want to add them to your buddie list and they can confirm or reject?

Since You are one of my Referals, I shared with you in an IM how to add someone as a Buddy... but a lot of the other questions you have asked on here, are good ones that I was wondering about also.
I know I have questions that are getting a lot of responses with also having others that I get only a couple of responses, so it is just getting us seen out there, and having others interested in what we have to say.
