Quality of candiates in the interview are always to be high,if u do not perform well, probably, u will let the chance slip away. For one on one interview, firstly we have to act calmly and let the conversation flows naturally. But it happens that people are always being asked about their weakness. So how would u respond to it, by exposing your weakness, does it mean yr chance of getting hired is reduced? For group discussion, it appears to be harder, in the first place, u cannot just sit there and listen but on the other hand u cannot be over dominant, sometimes it may be hard to get a balance
Did anyone have any experience in job interview to share with others?

I've been informed at workshops and career centers that help people obtain employment what to say when this question comes up in an interview. The best thing to do is to say what your own weakness (which should not be fabricated) but how you were able to turn this weakness into a positive so in such a way that it can be determined that you weakness turned into a strength will be helpful in their hiring decision process. For example, someone who says my weakness is being a perfectionist, however, I have learned how to proofread and do the best as I go along to compensate for my being a perfectionist and the perspective employee can view that as a postive characteristic that the person being interviewed can problem solve on their own, or they may like the fact that he/she is a perfectionist. Get what I'm saying. So, in the interview the idea is to convey yourself as being proactive thereby a perfect candidate to be hired. Good luck.

I forgot to mention that when I think the interviewer is ready for a little humor (which is not always) I would answer the question of what my weakness is...are you ready?...Black Raspberry ice cream. Well, I always thought it was kind of funny. But it's true. LOL

I have been taking interviews since last 2 months for my company… I think while I conduct interview I look at him/her from very different view points like…
Primarily… organizational requirements
Secondary… future aims and goals
Third… Eagerness to grow, willingness to learn etc
By this time I have some idea about the person’s strengths and abilities
Fourth… how much does a person knows about himself… through questions like Strengths and Weakness and how much are they really comfortable discussing their weaknesses with me… this allows me to know if they are open to learn and adapt or do they shy away from the problems depending on luck
i think this should help you a little!!

Whenever I'm asked my weaknesses I'm honest with them For one I'm not a fast learner. But I'm dedicated and am a hard worker which makes up for it. You see I always state my shorcomming then state how I make up for it. It is hard but I think the fact that we recognize our shortcommings and work on them, makes us good people.
I realize my weakness of not a fast leaner is a downfall for some employers and they turn me away do to it. But I'd rather be turned away then to get a job with out being honest with them and then get canned due to it.
