If you want to loose your belly you have to cut down on dietary fat as your first option. Then exercise will have to follow, especially aerobic trainning for the beginning and anaerobic training after the first month. Ideally people should train both aerobically and anaerobically. Pick a sport or an activity you actually enjoy doing and increase the dilliculty levels. Depending on your age you should be more patient if your over 50 years of age. Thats when hormonal changes kick in and play a huge role in your life. Try to maitain a balannce between the energy input from food and the energy output from daily activities. Remember loosing weight is about energy balance.

Yes, I am over 50 years old and my bulging belly fat is gaining despite observing a balanced diet and cutting on the dietary fat. I have slowed down on excersises because, I easily feel tired these last few months. I know that it is unhealthy to cut on the excersises at this time but, I am really finding hard time coping. Perhaps this is because of the onset of my menopausal years. Thank you for sharing this information, though. I understand I'll have to get back at those excersises if I want to keep myself lean enough.
