Is it Ok for my partner to be disatisfied with my role as Stay at home mom?

We have 4 kids at home with the youngest being 8mnths old. I use to be an operations manager but now am a full time mom. My partner treats me differently because of the financial strain he says although we are by no means paupers. He says our future happiness and success will depend on my being able to start a home business or go back to work. Is this typical and is this fair?

Ask him if paying for daycare would be worth it. Oh yes it can be a bit of a financial adjustment, but if he is worried about happiness then he needs to take into consideration that being a stay at home mom makes you happy so he should be happy.
