I am sure some of you have been driving through the intersection and saw the flashes. Oh NO! Now what. In CA that is a $300 ticket.

Your right its all caught on film, but there are certain things you can keep in mind before running a red light. The first is, of course, don't. Sometimes it is too late or unavoidable. The camera is owned by a company that monitors the videos and pitures. If the operator can not make out the picture a citation can not be issued. Also, if you are not driving your car, they do not have a way to find out your information. That is provided that the person who ownes the car does not tell on you. They can not be held responsible for you running the red light in their car. Another thing about identity is that officer has to go to court and testify that is you. If he can not see you because of the visor or a lowered head covered by a hat the case will be tossed. Like in my case I was let go on a technicality. I did run the light, but I could not see the light because of a large truck in front of me. I was turning left and could not see the light in front of me. The second light to the left only had the green and yellow lights working. The red light did not come on, as was shown in the video.
Your right. If your caught; your caught. But there are certain things to remember that might help you avid them in the future. It is worth a try to avoid a $300 ticket.

It's not whether you should or shouldn't. It is unconstitutional to have them. When did we stop obeying the constitution. It was written by Godly men that founded this country. You can go to acctpro.net or topspeedsoftware.com and buy a spray that blocks the camera from taking a picture of your tag. I got a ticket because I was behind a semi and I didn't see the red light until it was too late. It cost me $100.00. So when I am out of town I will be buying this stuff. If you think it is to save lives, you are crazy. It's all about the money. Check out the statistics!

By the way the spray is legal too! It was tested by the police department. Imagine that.

I don't think you can beat the ticket like that. There was a substantial evidence that police can prove you are wrong. Even though you go on court, you still have to pay for that ticket. This morning, I just pass through a red light without notice. Later on, I just remember that green arrow light only for the left - turn vehicles. Nothing you can deny it, if you are wrong.

I doubt if there is any way to avoid being caught if you speed in the vicinity of a traffic camera. Many people have claimed to know certain tricks, but the type of things involved would be likely to get you into more trouble than paying the ticket cost.
