What would you DO if you were EXPOSED to HEPATITIS at a RESTAURANT you DINED at?

There have been a few scare recently in the U.S. where waitstaff have become infected with Heptatitis and infected whole restaurants with the disease. What would you do if you went out to eat only to hear on the morning news that the place you ate at is infected with a horrible disease that you need to be shots for prevention or even worse you come down with the disease. Would you see recourse (i.e., sue the establishment) or would you just call and advise them you are not feeling well? I have wondered what would happen myself, but thank goodness I have not become infected with any such problems.

That just happened to Wolfgang Puck and he may have infected a lot of people with Hepatitis A through one of his employees. If I'd been infected by an employee of his, I'd certainly get any shots I needed to have and send him the bill if any was involved. I bet we see a lot of lawsuits out of this.

I would keep my distance from my children, read more about it, and schedule a doctor appointment to be tested!
That would not be something I would want to mess around with because I have seven children.
Oddly enough though, Oklahoma has had an outbreak of Hepatitis...so when we moved here, the children were required to have another series of a Hep shot.
They had already had the hep B....but this state requires a different Hep shot.
So honestly, they would probably be safe and not my partner and I.

That is really something to think about, you are really taking a chance when you eat out because you don't know who has any kind of germs. I really don't like to eat out.

I'm not sure which strain of Hepatitis that your referring to, can you explain?
The only one that I'm familiar with is Hep C, which you don't exhibit symptoms for 10, 20 or more years and by then you can only guess as to where you may have caught it from.
I know that children are vaccinated for another strain of Hepatitis that they get in something like 3 different shots over the course of a few months. After receiving these shots can they still get the Hepatitis that you are referring to?
I haven't heard of any restaurants exposing people to Hepatitis, but then the only news that I listen to are the updates on my favorite country radio station. How recent have these out breaks been?
