I lived in Paradise, Newfoundland (which is a few minutes outside of St.John's) for two years.I made a good friend in my next door neighbour. She grew up on a small island off the coast of Newfoundland, called Fogo Island. the nearest town from her on the mainland was Gander.Just recently she got these pictures in her email and sent them to me so that I could share them with you . The animals in the picture are Caribou.First time I have seen them in a photograph. I didn't realize they had them in that part of Newfoundland.

What great pictures. It is lovely when the animals come right up to you. We have deer here and they stay their distance. The ones in a local park come to the fence, but you cannot feed or touch them.
