Question for AC writers

I was just looking through the AC website since this is something I am considering trying. Having to site your sources was my main hurtle though, since it's so time consuming. However, in all the articles I perused, not one had sited sources used. Since you do research for your articles you must acquire that information somewhere. Does AC not make you site those sources in footnotes, etc.? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I have written for AC and seldom mention my sources. Many times, my source is the thoughts in my head. It might depend on the type of article you are writing. But I think that most people do not cite sources. I think in most cases it is not required.
