American Idol

Hate it with a passion, and I don't give a darn who wins! I have several friends who are very talented musicians and singers. They've been struggling for years to make it, and they're not there yet. Since this lame excuse for television programming won't allow anyone over the age of 28 to try out, they aren't eligible. American Idol is nothing more than petty playground meanness, broadcast into millions of homes. It doesn't have a single thing to do with talent. How freakin' low will we go, as a society, and whatever happened to hard work as the basis for success? Give me an everlasting break!
