my friend will be subjected to be in a long distance relationship with her bf. he needs to go to another country for a job offer and she has to stay home.. i personally believe that things like this really doesn't work most of the time.
how about you? what's your take on long distance relationships? did it work for you? can you share your story? for i want to encourage my friend but i can't seem to find the right words to tell her..

Well I guess it depends how they really feel for each other. If they are serious and committed they should be able to eventually work something out so they can get togethere again. I wish them luck.

Well, I am in a long distance relationship for 5 years now, and nothing worse happened. The key is 'trust' and 'believe'. If your friend is in a Long distance relationship, then you must tell her to trust her bf in everything he said. And she must learn not to jealous too. And another important thing is keep in touch and also, honesty.
Tell her not to worry too much, I know it's hard, but she must try. Good luck!

For me when My girlfriend has been away on vaction and I have had to stay behind for work the return of my love is always something to celebrate. When my girl went away for a month we ran up a huge phone bill because we talked everyday.
When she returned I had a cake for her, home made of courses, a wonderful dinner and gave her a wonderful massage. It seemed to bring us closer together.
