well i thought the girls werent to bad this week. i am glad of 1 thing tonight simon even made a good comment about lakisha's clothes i wish someone would teach her how to dress. she needs to accept the fact that she is not thin and dress properly. i have nothing against overweight people i am not thin myself but i would never be caught with a skirt on me like that anywhere especially on tv. she has no respect for herself and for that reason alone i think she needs to go. yes she can sing but she isnt the best. so i say bye to her now before she makes some people sick from watching the show. its a good thing her child is young so she wont be able to be embarresed by her mother.

I agree that her skirt was not a good choice. However, I thought the color of the top was a good color for her. I don't think she should go this week, but I don't think that she is as great as the judges think. I also think that Ms. Doolittle is much better than Lakisha.

i really agree they are raving to much on lakisha ms doolittle is by far better than her. i still say the guys are better than the girls

I'm really not impressed by any of the girls. Sure, they are talented, but none of them really stand out to me, you know? I think the guys are much more fun to watch because they do better performances and have better personalities. That said, I didn't really have a favorite tonight, since they call kind of bore me!

Wow, are you serious? Lakisha is the best singer of all of them. And how would you want her to dress? In a muu muu? I thought she looked adorable tonight. Not many big girls can wear a mini-skirt. Her legs aren't thin but they're still very shapely.
I think Lakisha and Melinda are outstanding performers. If you think back to past season's of AI, you might remember that most of them didn't look too good in the early shows. Do you remember how dorky Clay Aiken looked? Or Elliot Yamin? The shows hair and make-up people, and their stylists, worked with all of them to teach them how to look like professionals. Wait a few weeks and you'll see improvements.
I had hoped that we were beyond judging people by their physical appearance.

Well, I believe when they get down to the final 12 they have show stylists who help them prepare for each telecast. Honestly, they should do it with the final 24, in fairness. How in the world would they expect these people to already know how to dress like a star? I agree she didn't look great, but I think there's a lot we don't know about how the do and don't get to prepare for the show. I'm pretty sure, at this point, that their wardrobe is their own responsibility -- financially and otherwise. So, that might be an unfair disadvantage.
