how many words u can type in 1 minute???

hey, my friend went to see this competition last week. but all the candidates majority are childrens. they fight for fastest typist and how many words they can reach for 1 minute. and the champion can reach 180 words for 1 minute! she is only 11 years old...

I'm only 16, I've only been typing *fluently* for two years, and my record max is 124 wpm (words/minute). I haven't made it up to 180, but that certainly gives me something to reach for!

wow. 180 words per minute is super fast. Are you sure you got it right? That's alot. I use Typing Master to test my typing speed and I got only about 50 words per minute. They must not type complicated words or number or capitalization.

yes i am really sure about this.. my friend watch the competition and he also dont believe what he se.. but its true! first time i heard about this i also cant believe it. but i see 1 documentary from my country somewhere in Kuala Lumpur. there is one private school teach children (chinese) to type faster without see the keyboard. they are using some software which can teach people in every stage.

i think 40-45 words per minute or more than that , because these days i havent paid much attention to the number of words that i am able to type, but i had learnt typing a few years back and thanks too micorsoft word which i used too often to type by research papers and my thesis too

I type at about 70 words per minute. I type fairly incorrectly. I almost type correctly with my left hand, but only use the pointer finger and thumb of my right hand. It's really quite odd.

I can type about 100 words a minute. I think that is fast enough for me. No need to try and break the 180 mark, which is impressive.

Owh that good news!! Our next generation are good in typing. Hope this will help them doing their thesis later in the school and higher education level.
I am not a good typist but my boss can type using a finger only!!! lol. (He is in his 70's years old i think)
Love when i see him typing email (the power of 1 finger)!!!
