I have the 20g photo Ipod and use a docking station in my car that i paid $100 for at circuit city but the volume is so much lower when i use that compared to the radio or the cd player. I pretty much have to turn the volume all the way up for it to be somewhat loud. Anyone else have that problem? Is there something better out there that you guys use? or a way to fix it?

what you could try and do is go to the settings and go to the sound check and turn it off. mine get's considerably louder when i do that. or... when you're in itunes go to song info and change the settings of the song and raise the volume off the song so that when you import it it will come in louder, but you have to do it song by song though

I have the same problem with my 4g Nano but my 1st generation shuffle sounds great. I've been wondering what I can do to fix it as well because the sound drives me crazy. For now I'm just listening to my Shuffle in my car.

i got the same problem, i got my ipod hooked up to my radio with an avcable and it doesn´t sound too loud, i try to solve this problem by leveling up the volume adjustment on itunes for all the songs to the max, but even them, the sound is too little, i don't know, i was going to try connecting it with another cables to see what happens or maybe try to search for a signal amplifier or something like that, i don't know if that even exists
