Have you ever made a cloth doll?

I've made several and have many patterns for them, but after doing the porcelain dolls, I can't seem to find much interest in them.
Possibly if I did more of an art doll, it would hold my attention a little more.
I made one from a Kezi Mathews pattern and they are so easy and turn out so nice, that I bought a lot of her patterns after she retired; but I haven't made any more and the patterns just sit stashed away on a shelf.

I've only made the soft sculpture type dolls in the late 70's early 80's. I guess that was during the big Cabbage Patch craze. I started with Mom's spent nylons, stuffing them with fibrefill and forming faces of all different sizes and expressions...when I got comfortable with that I moved on to buying the fabric for it and following a pattern for the body and limbs. It was fun, but I've never made any "real dolls"

I've never made a cloth doll and don't think I've ever seen any patterns for them in the stitching magazines that I subscribe to. I think that I'd enjoy something like that and would be interested in hearing and knowing more about this. I think they'd be really cute when they're done too.
