I am confused - sometimes i feel i should save a larger chunk of my salary for my future. Then there are times when I think we live only once and we are young only once - so why not enjoy the present. Money is coming in the present and it will come in the future also. What about you? Do you think its better to be frugal and save for the future or enjoy the present?

For some financial consultancy firm, or insurance companies, they advise to save abot 20-30% of ur pay. Well personally i do not save tt much as i have alot of financial commitments, so i save whatever i can monthly, but there is a min amount tt i tell myself to save. Really have to discipline myself otherwise will spend all of my money haha.

there should be a balance. you deserve to enjoy the fruits of you labor but wise enough to save for the future.
devise a percentage you would like to save. like say 5% or 10% of your monthly salary will go to saving and the rest is up to you.

What i do is decide what i would like to do like a long vacation a trip abroad and figure how much it will cost me. I put so much a week back for that trip and when i reach my goal i take the vacation i planned for. I also put money back for retirement. I dont know how old you are but you have to plan for the futur. What would hapen if you wound up in the hospital? would you have money saved up for your monthly expenses. If your young you might not of thought about it, I didnt and now that im in my 50s i always think what would happen if i became ill what resouces would i have.

i believe that you should still save money but use most of it for the present. If you save all your money what fun are you going to have now in the present, and your right people are only young once so make the best of it while you've got it
