Ok everyone now please tell me why my Mother never told this Fairytale to me
And I think I forgot to tell this one to my Girl aswell but not to sure, no doubt she will let me know when she comes back of her Holidays
Well here is the Fairytale
This is the fairy tale that we should have been reading as little girls!
Once upon a time, in a land far away, a beautiful, independent,
self-assured princess happened upon a frog as she sat, contemplating
ecological issues on the shores of an unpolluted pond in a verdant
meadow near her castle.
A frog hopped into the princess' lap and said: Elegant Lady, I was
once a handsome prince, until an evil witch cast a spell upon me.
One kiss from you, however, and I will turn back into the dapper,
young Prince that I am and then, my sweet, we can marry and set up
housekeeping in your castle with my mother, where you can satisfy my
needs, prepare and serve my meals, clean my clothes, bear my children,
and forever feel grateful and happy doing so.
That night, as the princess dined sumptuously on lightly sautéed frog
legs seasoned in a white wine and onion cream sauce, she chuckled and
thought to herself:
I DON'T F***ING THINK SO!!!!!
Share with all the princesses you know! It's sure to brighten their day
Now would that not have saved us a lot of Grief Girls if we where told this one.

Mother didn't tell that one because Father forbidded its telling.
That one was spread all over the internet a while ago, but I guess you're probably the first to bring it to MyLot. OK - so take it to the S&M forum. Eeerrrr - get your mind out of the gutter. S&M stands for Sandy & Marlyse.

Hmmmm... now, I'm not sure whether I would rather kiss the frog or eat its legs! lol. Neither of the options appeals to me very much, but it was a great twist at the end, which made me chuckle.
I'm sure the frog was originally a prince, as like all males, he loved himself! ha ha ha. Good on the Princess... go girl!!!
Brightest Blessings, my dear Gabs. x

i don't think so. Ya you're right. It was very good, but the part where the lady is eating the frog shouldn't be there if you're going to tell this to your kid. She will think, well, it's OK to eat men. lol.

i don't mean disrespect to your family. i mean children shouldn't be made to see violence in any form.

Oh yes that is for sure we would of all been aware of what these men would be up to before we even contemplated getting married and especially as some girls get married so quickly, they may have thought twice, I believe that I would of thank you for a lovely discussion about fairytales and I certainly was not told this story otherwise I would of those my daughters.

An ex-boyfriend sent this to me several years ago. I wrote back and told him that was me. It didn't contain all the eco-terroist junk back then. He wrote back & did say that it had sounded like me when he sent it & he was glad to get away before he was sauteed!

I will have to save this one and remember it to read to my little girl (if I ever have one) I wish my mom would have read that one to me. But in a way she did. My mother was a single mom and she never dated. i never saw her with any men, and my father i didnt meet till i was 7 and he never really was much of a dad. so i have always been on a high horse on that topic. thanks again.

I love this! And girls need to hear it. I think it's sad that girls are brought up thinking that their key to happiness is finding the handsome prince. If the handsome prince loves you, respects you as a person and wants to share the housework (among a giant list of other things) then that's awesome. If not, keep on moving. It's 2007. We can be anything we want to, with or without the prince. That's the story my daughters will hear! Thanks for sharing!
