Hello ,Marian ! If you mean fainting from something disgusting or frightening then NO , I once ALMOST fainted ,it was in a DELIVERY ROOM , I saw all the blood and green and brown stuff that came out of the woman with the BABY , I felt FAINT and LIGHTHEADED ,but I did not pass out .
.I once fainted while driving my car ,it was very dangerous ,I passed out for almost 15 seconds and the car jumped outside the road (luckily) into a sandy field and stopped . The fainting was caused by TOO MUCH COUGHING , it's a medical condition called COUGH SYNCOPE (passing out after a long severe cough) and I still get it sometimes .

oh dear.. thats unfortunate. how do u get that condition ? is it common in a certain age group or race or is it hereditary ?

ive fainted once and blacked out twice.
i fainted in the shower last year cos i think the shower was to hot n when it gets really steamy in the shower and i forget to turn on the exhaust fan, i get REALLY dizzy.. and i guess that time was really bad and i just fainted.
the first time i blacked out was in primary school when me n my friends were racing to the big tree at the bak of the school. i got there first but because i was looking back at my friends just before i got to the tree, i slammed right into it ! and blacked out for a few seconds then wen i opened my eyes i was crying and my friends were surronding me asking if i was ok.. lol crazy story ! ahah..
the second time i blacked out was when i was roller blading down a hill and my aunty was walking in front of me. i was going really fast and couldnt stop myself so i quickly grabbed onto her and we span around and i fell down n i mustve bumped my head cos just like in primary school when i opened my eyes i was crying n my aunty was looking at me askin if i was ok lol... im so clumsy !!

Once while playing a slot machine at a local casino I blacked out due to my collapsed lung. Seems I wasnt getting enough oxegyn to my brain. Happy postings from Grandpa Bob

The lung is fine now. I also just recently tried to quit smoking (again). So far it's going okay. It's been 5 weks & I haven't had any true cravings. Thanks also for the concern.

I was young mother when I just drop and all I know I was pregnant for the first time.Then I always expierience fainting when my sugar is low coz I'm diabetic.Same feeling when blood sugar is up,now I always check before I go out, to be safe.

I passed out once when we were doing parade during the compulsory national service about 8 years ago. We were on parade ground for abt 2 hours, and I was not too relaxed when we were 'at ease.' But I was conscious throughout that I doubt whether I was gone for up to 2 secs. LOL.
Really painful since the parade ended less than 10 mins after

I experienced fainting twice. The first reason was because of over fatigue and the second was more fatal because I really passed out for more than two minutes and it was because I really over exert myself and I was not able to take my lunch at that time. I experienced it when I was still Grade 6 and the feeling is really not nice.

I have fainted but never passed out... i think :P
Last time was actually about 2 months ago. We went to visit my father-in-law at the hospital after his by-pass surgery and i was standing next to the bed and all of a sudden i feel so weird, so light-headed. My husband was sitting and i tapped him on the back and told him i needed to sit down. According to him i was sooooooooo pale, totally white, especially my lips. So i sat down, still didnt help (but at least i didnt fall down cause that would have been the case had i kept on standing there). Then i started feeling like there was no way i would be able to manage to hold my body up in that chair so they gave me the bed next to my father-in-law. I remember thinking at that moment "well at least im at a hospital" :D
Anyway, i stayed like that for a few minutes and then i just had to go out for some fresh air which helped a bit. And i was on my way home for some rest.
Why this happened, i have no idea!
