I too have polycystic ovaries and i think this is quite a common condition affecting women, it causes all kinds of symptoms such as weight gain - although im underweight? and acne, infertility etc. There are fertility tablets your doctor can put you on if you are wanting to have a baby and this is apparently very effective, i think its called Clomiphene. Good luck!

Yep, I have PCOS and have had since I was probably 9 or 10. I went to doctors and specialists for years from when I was 16 and was constantly told that my problems (lack of periods) were in my head. I was diagnosed when i was 17 and the weight of the world shifted from my shoulders- I wasn;t going mad - I had a physical problem! Yet people kept telling me to go on a holiday (vacation) and I'd be sure to fall pregnant! I was lucky that after 3 years of treamtments I conceived a baby boy and teo years later I had twin boys - all from the same treatments as IVF but not pulling out of eggs etc - natural conception.
I am now 50 and have to live with complications of PCOS - late onset diabetes, blood pressure 9which I also had from ages 15-33) and cholesterol.
There are lots of POCS women on here. Feel free to ask questions or ask to be my friend and PM me.
Hugs
