My history professor once lectured us that Religion is the opiate of the masses... I can't remember who originally quote it but its underlying meaning is so evident in the lives of our brothers and sisters living in poverty. Its the idea of God that keeps them going about their everyday lives, how hard may it be. It's the promise of a better future and a paradise at the end of this perilous journey. It's the calming spirit after the storm,... a pacifying drug amidst the calamity.

I think it is useless and some people say that it is immoral but for me, it is normal today.

I don't believe I could imagine a world without religion. Most people will always need answers to things beyond their comprehension, or long for a purpose. A Deity gives them that feeling of purpose, and the answer to their questions. Through faith everything they seek tends to be there, at least in their eyes.
