For the love of GOD, please don't try to tell us how we should quit. I don't need to hear how I should just be able to put my pack down and be done with it. Have you tried it? No? Then shut. up. now. Encouragement is fine, being understanding is fine, please, tell me you believe in me and that I'll overcome it.
Do Not, however, harp on me about how I don't need hypnotism or patches or whatever; unless you were previously a smoker. I don't need to know how weak I am because I can't just up and quit. Especially from people who've never smoked. Get off your moral f*cking highground or whatever it is. I've tried cold turkey. It lasted all of a month. I'm trying to make it last forever.

I quit cold turkey 9 years ago. My husband still smokes two packs a day. So I quit with another smoker in the house. Good luck.

I've tried several times to quit and it is Hard to stay away from Smoking! My sister has been hypnotized and it lasted 2 yrs. she's smoking again, tried cold turkey and that is difficult, done the patched and gum, inhalers and they just can't keep you away from that puff. I know it's Hard but if your determined to Quit good for you, I haven't been able to quit for more than 9 mths at a time but I'm sure it will stick for me yet. Don't give up and again Good for You!!:)
