Can you really do harm to a person out of spite? My cousin had develop a weird sickness; it seems that her flesh on her ankles are being eaten. We thought that it was just a kind of cancer (not a deadly one) but still, after all the medication she took, she still weren't getting well. My mother went to call a witch (or what we call witch-doctor) and she pronounced that my cousin was indeed hexed. A lot of us were skeptical, but after dabbing a cotton around the wound (I'm not really sure what she did) she was able to pull the rotted flesh right out of her ankle. She said that it was a case of "barang" (hex), and that the person who did it was jealous of my cousin.
The logical part of my brain is still skeptical about everything but I cannot really deny what I saw with my own eyes. I have read about paganism, its supposed to be a beautiful religion that worships nature. Now my question remains:
Can you wiccans do something like that? Have the ability to do it?

so has your cousin been to a proper doctor? What medication was she taking? do you have pets in the home? has she ever been tested for allergies? Has she been in any new places? Has she been out in any grassy or weedfilled areas? (I'm not sure where you live)...has any one used any new household products recently like carpet freshener or cleaning supplies etc etc
Dont jump so quickly to Witchcraft..get medical help first and if you need to go to a second doctor for a second opinion then do that too....

Yes, she had been to a doctor, and as a matter of fact had a mild operation performed (the wound was scraped), but still the wound persisted. She has been to different doctors, but still no cure. We didn't jump to witchcraft first, it was our last option as science has no cure for her.
Oddly enough, you sounded like her doctors.lol! All your questions has been asked by her doctors before.=D

Well, there is a person here on myLot, who is Hindu and that said that a friend of her was Hindu, but changed her religion to Christianity after having seen a miracle. I responded in that discussion that I don't think Jesus is so interested to particular human events and now I tell you the same thing: I don't believe in hex, and so I think that your witch-doctor was only lucky, because his/her "patient" (your cousin) could react thanks to the "Placebo effect".
I have some wiccan friends and some books about Wicca, I read them and I found them very interesting, but I am not Wicca, I'm a Pagan and I follow my Mediterranean tradition, not the Wicca one. I'm a secular person with a Pagan ethic, I like the teachings of people like Socrates, Seneca and many other Pagan thinkers of the past but I don't believe in miracles, I leave them to Monotheistic followers.

I am not a Wiccan but I did study/practice it years ago. The thing about being a Wiccan is you don't harm others.
I do believe that people can hex another. There are so many forces out in this world that we cannot fully grasp.
If she was "hexed" then a non-wiccan would have probably done it. I also believe that spirits can be sent to act on people's behalf so that is always a possibility.
Hope that helps some.
