Are Gold & Platinum teeth a status symbol or a fad?

With so many people into the "bling bling" these days. I wonder if you think these teeth are a here to stay or are they a passing fad?

I hope it is just a fad, because I think they look rediculous.

In my opinion, a fad. And not a very attractive one either.
