Anyone that has raised an orphan knows what a challenge it can be! Horses normally are a little fearful of humans as we have eyes in the front of our heads like predators, we have to teach them that we won't hurt them. Orphans are so different, they think of the one that fed them as mom and therefore will treat us like another horse. I am currently raising one that is very dominant and playful, he is one of the biggest challenges of my life! If anyone else out there has any input on what you did to teach your youngster healthy respect please share with us.
