Just throwing out a few money making ideas in Runescape to help you out :) ...
You don't need a lot of money to get started. 30k will do just fine.
A good way to start with 30k is to go to a shop that sells arrows (the ranging guild shop for instance), and buy all of the bronze arrows that are in stock. When you're done, simply switch worlds and repeat the task. After all the money is gone, you will have a minimum of 5k bronze arrows (the maximum price from the shop is 6gp per). Bronze arrows can be sold on the forum easily for 15-20gp per! So that's around 100k for you!
You might be best continuing this until you have around 500k.
When you have around 500k, you can start to merchant. Go to Falador world 2, and buy anything you see that someone is selling for cheap. Turn this around and sell the items for profit!
If you're a non-member, try merchanting rune essence. A good place for this is Varrock East bank, on a busy world. You can sell it for 35-40gp per in bulk, so you should try to buy for 20-25gp per. That means for every 10,000 you buy, you make 100k-300k profit :) !
Once you've got a bit more money, try merchanting some barrows armour, in the Falador gardens on world 2.
Some other good merchanting ideas include:
- Raw materials (coal, iron ore e.t.c.).
- Runes.
- Arrows.
- Dragon-hides.
- Dragon items such as legs and woodcutting axe.
- Rares.
Rares are the ultimate merchanting goal. You can make millions effortlessly if you're a good rare merchanter. Getting enough money for this can take a while, but once you're there, you'll never have money problems again.
Best of luck :) , I hope this has given you some ideas!

Of course, I got 200-300M, four 99 skills and 93 prayer (will be 99 soon) by using 'total bull'. My ingame name is Sw Raichu203, feel free to message me if you'd like to talk more ;) ...

It helps if you have a large bulk of them. Irons can go for 25 each in bulk without too much trouble. You can even make a profit from steels from the shop, selling at around 40gp per in bulk.

Interesting way of Merchanting although I would think that it would take sort of long because you have to constantly switch worlds so ermm... how long does it usually take you to get 5k arrows. I prefer merchanting laws and yew logs because both a very very highly in demand. I just buy all my yew logs really cheap (300 each) from level 3 macros (I know kind of bad that I'm buying from them but..) and then sell to fletcher's for 350-400.

It doesn't take long at all, and that's just to get started off. Once you've got a reasonable amount to play with, it's much more flexible.

bbones are very nice to make easy money...100 aka 4 trips equals an easy 40=50k..if you sell cheap then its 30k which isn't the greatest but thats how i made money on my pures instead of having to give starting junk out to them -.0

you kinda forgot about big bones to and you can always go to salem and buy the arrows over there because over their the bronze arrows is always gonna be full too.and if you get 5k bronze arrows and sell them for 15 or 20 gp each you will only get 75k to 100k
