I am in a stage of pregnancy where all I am is uncomfortable I have 16 weeks left, and wondered how you all cope with the discomforts of being uncomfy, especially when you are sleeping??

I was so uncomfortable with both of my pregnancies when I slept. The things that helped me most was flipping the mattress, this helped me be more comfortable at night, also, drinking warm tea, and taking a warm bath before bedtime, helped me to fall asleep quickly, also exersizing in the morning, somehow, if I exersized, I always felt and slept better. Just remember it will pass soon enough, and you'll have the baby waking you up. (:

Yeah that is no joke! I am pretty used to that though this is Number 4 for us. This is probably the most uncomfortable that I have felt with any of my pregnancies, though. I have been sleeping a bit better in the last few nights since I have been pretty busy throughout the day. I think that is the key for me. Wear myself out!LOL!

Body pillows are wonderful when sleeping. If you don't have one, just put a regular pillow under your belly. For heartburn, I used to drink a glass of whole white milk before going to bed. I would also lie on my side and have my husband rub my back for me in the morning and at night before going to sleep. It helped quite a bit and enabled me to move around a little better!

I have a body pillow and heartburn hasn't bothered me too badly. It is just nightmares and the tossing and turning. I have a hard time asking for help from my husband because he gets up at 3 AM for work, and tries to stay up at night to see our other kids so he is usually so tired himself that I feel guilty asking for help. I just wondered if there was an easier way of dealing with the nightmares and tossing and turning.

towards the end of my pregnancy i used to just sleep in the recliner! i found it easier to 'roll' from one side to the other since i was mostly laying on my back.. also the elevation helped the heartburn. i was still never able to get totally comfortable but just remember that will all change after u have the baby and can move around like normal again!

I'm just a month ahead of you, so I know what you're talking about! Here are my tips: = Get a body pillow, they are great for belly support = Ask your hubby for help if you need it turning over, you can actually pull a muscle trying to flip around like you used to! = Heartburn tends to get worse when you lie down, so try taking a couple of Tums before you go to sleep, they are safe for the baby. Hope these help!
