Cooking Class drop-out

I recently started taking a cooking class. At the beginning, I asked specifically what the extra costs were over and above tuition. They told me that I would only need to pay my ingredients for the practical exams. However, once I started taking the class, I found out that we need a chef jacket, black pants and shoes (which I don't have), new knives, ingredients for most of the classes, a health certificate, lung certificate and a whole list of other things. The cost of all the stuff added up, plus the monthly dues was too much for my budget and I had to drop out. Do you think it's fair that they didn't provide a list of extras beforehand?

Absolutely. You should report to the relevant authorities in your country to get your money refunded back. These days, people can be disturbingly unscrupulous in getting business. All the costs must be listed upfront and there should be no hidden costs of any kind.

That's exactly what I though! I just have to find out who to report them to.

I don't think it was fair, especially with you asking ahead of time! I hope you are able to resolve this, because that is definitely not fair and they should definitely at least refund your tuition for the course!
