This is a very direct question, and one that I feel you shall receive a fair few negative ideas espoused. Whilst it is relatively undeniable that the weight of his actions must be regarded as heinous and evil, it should not be forgotten where and when he lived, and the fact that with Goebbels and Heidrich, was a genius, too. Before people start hurling abuse at me, please have the courtesy to read the rest of the response. After WW1, and particularly, the punitive nature of the Treaty of Versailles, the once great country of Germany/Weimar/Prussia etc, was akin to a third world country. There were few jobs, rampant poverty, starvation and disease. The traditionally powerful families were powerless to help the citizens in their burghs, which struck at their nobility, and sense of responsibility. Hitler wrote a socialist manifesto, full of nationalistic pride, and preaching to the working class man and woman, to retake control of their own country, to be proud again, and to have work and food. He got his rivals the SA to do the violence, hence depicting the SS as noble and friends of the people. Every American President since Hitler rose to power in Germany, and the US abandoned isolationism, has played the same nationalistic pride card, whenever acting badly. After all, what about the 'Patriot Act'. The Hitler Youth was originally set up to get teenagers off the streets, get them doing community work, and getting bed and board. They could also then be indoctrinated. However, America again copied Hitler during the Depressiom and Dust Bowl years. They planted trees, to prevent soil erosion, etc, and with an ironic twist that only America can achieve, they became the 'Peace Corps'! Hitler also helpred regenerate the industries ay Germanys heart, ie steel from the Rheine/Ruhr. Under his governance the now famous hippy vehicle, the VW Beetle, or 'bug' as it has affectionately been nicknamed, was devised and produced. This gave jobs, a product to save for, and the ability for other wages to regenerate local facilities. Britain attempted to regenerate Northern Ireland, during the 1973s/80s by building the infamous De Lorean car factory there. Whilst propaganda had been invented in its modern form by Trotsky and Eisenstein, Goebbels used this modern technique to preach to the masses, hence the great footage of the Nuremberg Rallies, the rewriting of the Munich BeerHall Putsche, and the 1936 Olympics (many current styles of filming modern Olympics were invented then, especially the use of cameras underwater for the swimming evemts). All in all, the man was a genius, but as with many such men, went over the edge and became a fanatical, insane evil tyrant.

What!?! Seriously, are you kidding me? Villain of the most evil, heinous kind. He was directly responsible for the genocide of millions of innocent people. In the most cruel, violent, painful, torturous, inhumane ways possible. How anyone could possibly be deluded enough to think of this foul beast as some kind of hero I don't know.

I agree with you, but you've clearly never been to a Klan meeting, they think he's great.
