because they are the backbone of mylot. Tags are searched by google which bring in the relevant adsense ads that when clicked on will generate the funds for mylot to receive, and then distribute the funds to us for our postings and responses. So when you you do not tag we ALL lose out. So TAG TAG TAG.

Thank you for explaining that to me, I've often wondered why I can tag things but cannot find discussions from my tag words.

That is right! If you use myLot's search box at the top for myLot discussions it looks at all the tags corresponding to your search criteria. On the web it will do the same in looking for the relevant words you are looking for.

I agree with your sentiment entirely, Deeeky. The more we tag, the more we are paid, because Mylot are funded for the tags. It helps to use several tags in our discussions too; not just one. I've seen some recent discussions posted where people have said that their earnings in one day have not been more than a few cents. Is this because you're not tagging your discussions and responses? I think so... so if you want to receive more for your quality discussions TAG more, and rate - less. Go ahead... you'll reap the rewards. Mylot are doing everything they can to improve this site for us. I for one, thoroughly appreciate the community and the way the site is run in Mylot. So, let's give them something back, huh? Brightest Blessings, my dear friend.

Good tags does bring more money in I agree. Several appropriate tags is definately the best way to make your discussions of better quality which means more revenue fo all. If we help mylot then mylot will help us more from the income generated. Thanks for that help my friend.

that's right Deeky, Tagging discussions helps in more than one way. Fund generation is one thing and another is when we add the relevant and appropriate tags, the right kind of discussions come up when a search is performed. Valuable time is thus saved. It also helps categorize discussions based on certain key tag words.

IF you tag, be sure that you are tagging for the discussion and not for yourself. I have started looking at my tags more closely because people will tag with things to lead to themselves or to one of their pet projects. I don't think it ethical to hijack someone else's discussion to send people to your pet project by posting its tag in someone elses discussion.

Yup Sage, I've noticed many people do this too and I think it is not right at all. They are definitely irrelevant tags.

Tagging someone elses discussion for your own ends is definately wrong, and hope that you have pointed that out will help in others rating thier replies accordingly, and take the appropriate action necessary.

Does it matter how many words you use in a tag? I have been putting in 2 or 3, is that enough?
