The only answer I have to you is that people are funny creatures you never know what people are going to want to respond to. I like like to respond to silly things and serious but sometimes depending on my mood I stay away from anything that is serious.

yeah, i know what u are talkin about. These days there are way too many personal discussions and i dont really know whether they are true or just making stories...I know for a fact that many of these discussions are genuine , but there are also many fake ones. There are many who like to respond to discussions which are easy to respond, say in one or two lines.

As far as how many responses one gets it actually, for me anyhow, depends on how the discussion is wrote out & worded. http://www.mylot.com/o/faq.aspx As myLot suggests, "quality". 2 discussions exactly the same but worded differently will get a varied amount of responses. So I say do as myLot guidelines suggest, post quality discussions. Include pertinent links if needed. Go into detail so others here understand the topic fully. I have not had that problem. I do get responses from the same people and that is great. I feel like I have made friends and met good people. I know there are some doozy discussions on here.

frend sidoney, this is purely psyche. people tend to respond to a discussion, when they feel that they have opinion. i suggest frend, just to reframe ur discussions and place the language of that discussion in a more general mannager, and i am sure you will get responses. try it frend. keep smiling mike, the lil smiley cute devil

I think you are worried to much. Good discussions rise out of little insights.

Hi sometimes you have you have to make friends with active members and they sometimes will check your discussions out if they find an interest.Its good to comment back on your discussions that way it keeps the discussion goings and sometimes reaches the front.

Hi, I know you posted this two months ago, but I thought I'd post a response, anyway. I agree with one of the respondents in that people just answer discussions that they have an interest in. Sometimes, people either can't relate to your personal problem or they don't want to discuss it. Some people may have a lot of things to say about something, but don't want to type a lot, too, but that is rare. If you post something about a problem you have that a lot of people can relate to, then you might get a lot of responses. I've noticed topics such as rudeness tend to do well.
