I am scared to death after being scammed like I was and I had took over a month off from selling, but I need to start up again to try and make some extra money. My daughter will be going to college next year and her disability from her dad will be stopping!! So I need to make at least that amount each month to make up for that loss. She will be getting a job this summer to help ,but I really want her to focus on school until she is done and can get a good job in her desired field and be happy. I will work 3 jobs if I have to. my username on ebay is i_am_a_wahm. I do not have very much listed now ,but I will have more ot list in the next few weeks.

I'd be interested in knowing how you got scammed, so maybe others of us who sell on ebay can avoid it. Also, would you mind sharing what you sell? I also sell on ebay, very small time, and only usually things I find in stores for super cheap that I think I can resell. It's so hard to find items to sell. I've researched so many drop shippers with no luck. thanks!

I've only sold a couple of items on ebay so far, but I haven't offered a refund policy. I don't want to get scammed like that!! :( Sorry that happened to you!

Share your story! We can all learn from one another. I'm impressed at how hard you're working for your daughter. I wish you well with Ebay. :) I've made a little there, but don't have a lot of opps to hunt for things to sell. I've heard some make a lot of money this way, so hope you'll be one of the success stories!
Be aware of phoney emails disguised to look like those from PayPal and Ebay. They're getting better and better at disguising themselves as legitimate. If I can share a link,:http://mommyspace.blogspot.com/2006/12/fraudulent-ebay-paypal-emails-theyre.html I'd really recommend everyone read this.
Happy selling!

I sell stuff on ebay from time to time. But I hate how if you have the free paypal then you can't tell people that you will accept paypal as a payment because you can't tell them that they can't pay with debit or credit cards. I did that in two of my listings and instead of telling me that you can't do that, they just took my listings off and I didn't know why until I emailed them. Good luck and I hope you sell a lot.

Upgrading to a paypal business account is FREE and then you can accept debit and credit cards. It is easy to do.

I'll certainly look you up on E-bay.. Good luck there. I've never had any problems of scammers on e-bay but you do find all kinds of people there. I hope you don't get scammed again..
Good luck to your daughter also at college! How about student loans to help her out through college, books, classes, room/board, etc. Most don't have to be repaid until the student is finished with college. By then she could get a good job and repay them or you could pay them while she is in school.
Just a thought-
Good luck to you! I hope you put up some good stuff I want. I'll be checking it out later today-

Good luck on your ebay selling. I also sell on ebay. I posted my website in my profile, it takes you to my auctions. Right now I don't have anything for sale. This weekend I will be posting a few. I have some bustier make up bags with make up. I will check out your auctions. I have been scammed on ebay too, just be careful and if you have troubles contact ebay, they will really work with you to take care of the scammers.

Good luck on your new venture on eBay just be careful and be more aware of fraud trading. I never tried trading in eBay but I heard a lot about it on other people. Some have smooth trading and others were scammed just like you. I have identify some of their tactics of how they cheat people on the site.
Good luck to you.

I'm in the process of trying to sell on ebay, but am getting very frustrated with it. It seems like you spend more money than you make. Do you have any tips on selling on Ebay?

i'm sorry to hear you got scammed on e-bay...i've only ever used it once to buy something i plan on using it more in the future because they do sell some pretty interesting things on there but with anything internet related it always seems to be buyer beware its a shame people feel the need to rip others off like that

Good Luck to you. I will check out your listings. It's not easy. I do occasional selling as well, as have avoided any problems by just making sure that I have payment in hand before anything else. So far, so good, I hope it works out for you.

Good luck, selling on ebay to make money can be difficult with all the expenses and fees. I sell there occasionally to to get rid of extra "stuff" because I live in a rural area and garage sales don't really work in my area. With postage, eBay fees, and paypal fees I don't make a lot but I do empty shelves, cupboards, and make some closet space.
You might want to take a look at a couple of work at home sites that some friends of mine have found usefull.

They have a lot of opportunities that are 100% free to try and a lot of good information about working from home.
Best of luck!
