Help connecting a laptop to a desktop pc.

Hello, I need help! I recently purchased a laptop, and would like to know how I can conect it to my desktop. Both have dial-up modems. The laptop has no usb ports. I don't know if this info is needed or not. If more info is needed, please respond with desciption of needed info, and I will update. Thank You for your time and Help!!!
