How does mylot afford to pay people?

Most websites, radio stations and television shows make money off of advertising, and obviously the higher your ratings or the more hits to the websites, the more they can charge to advertise on thier site. Well I was wondering if anyone knows or has an idea how MyLot makes money, in order to pay you, because there aren't really advertisements on the website. And they obviously have to make money in order to pay people for posting things. Any ideas??
