usb not working

i think when you upgrade your system from win95 to winxp probably the drivers were not installed,.. as it was upgrade,.. and you would know that there is no usb driver in win95 by default you would have to install,.. for the time being what you can do is install the usb drivers from cd that come with usb products like camera , mobiles,...

You should use update USB driver. If not Win XP will ask you to continue or not when you install unrecognized drivers. If you skip this XP will install your USB driver, most of them work well. But some error may occur later.

You might try making sure that you have usb drivers that are compatible with the new OS. You might also try reinstalling the drivers to make sure that the previous installation did not become corrupted during the upgrade.
