When I was younger my Dad called me Shorty, then Skinny Minnie Those 2 are the main ones but he also called me Leaf, not sure why, Cricket because I would catch crickets to go fishing. I'm glad my Dad called me all those different names in the different stages of my life. Sure wish he was here now.. I miss him.

Yes, my Dad nicknamed me "Blackhead" because my hair was jet black. As I grew older it changed colors but the name stuck.

When I was a child I was called by a derivative of my full name, and only called by my actual Christian name if I was in trouble. Dad had a special name for me, as he did for all of his children and he was the only one who used it. :)

I think when most of us were called by our "whole" name (first, middle and last) by our parents, we immediately knew we were in trouble. LOL. Thanks for your response.

PEANUTS - Peanut Products
My dad always called me "Peanuts" - he's 81 years old now and still does! He used to travel a lot for business, and always brought home the airplane peanuts for me - When he came home that was the first thing I looked for.

As a middle-teen my nickname was not a kind one. I was about 15 pounds over-weight and back in the late 60's it was considered pudgy. So my nick-name was freight-train. I was affected by it, but was thankful at least I was not nick-named Chunka-Chunka, as was my friend.

My dad gave me the nickname "kickalover" because when I was really little I hit the family dog and then kissed him on the nose. He still calls me that! Also, my cousin gave me the nickname lynnbin, Lynn being my middle name.
